In Grade 8 students find their feet in high school. Four of their main academic courses take place in a cohort, allowing students to form bonds with classmates and teachers.

*Students will complete Math 8 and 9 concurrently.

Grade 9

• PHE Leadership 9

In Grade 9 students build on their learning from Grade 8. A full-semester leadership course is added to the program in which students develop an understanding of their leadership style and begin to look ahead to their personal project in Grade 10. Based on their comfort level, students will opt to repeat Math 9 or continue on to Math 10.

Grade 10

Supervised, independent study project: students spend a semester working with a supervising teacher to develop a project within a personalized area of interest. The project culminates with a fair where students show off their work to friends, family, and members of the community.
